Arrow evolves relationship with Emerson Network Power as both supplier and customer

Symbiotic relationship between one of the world's largest power supply distributors and leading global power specialist delivers customer benefits

Arrow has taken its long-term relationship with Emerson Network Power to a new level with the announcement that, in addition to being a strategic supplier of power technologies, Emerson has become a major global customer.

Describing the relationship as 'truly symbiotic', Phil Lamb, Emerson Network Power's VP of European sales, comments: "The strength of a relationship between principals and the distribution channel leads to significant benefits for distribution customers. As both a supplier and a customer, we have been able to form the strongest possible relationship with Arrow, and this translates into very real benefits for Emerson customers for whom Arrow is their chosen distributor."

Arrow and Emerson Network Power can trace a relationship that goes back over 20 years to when the distributor began carrying the Astec range of power supplies. More recently Artesyn products joined the portfolio and Emerson brought both the Astec and Artesyn brands into its recently formed Embedded Power business.

Now, Arrow provides the full range of Emerson Network Power AC/DC supplies, isolated DC/DC converters, Point-of-Load (PoL) devices and application-specific modules. At the same time, Arrow supplies a wide range of semiconductors, passive devices and other onboard and offboard components for Emerson Network Power's own technologies.

Emerson's recent acquisition of Motorola's Embedded Communications Computing organisation has further enhanced the symbiotic relationship by increasing business between the two companies in both directions.
