High-Quality TFTs Suit Hand-held Devices

Everbouquet has announced a series of transmittance-type a-Si TFT-LCD (amorphous silicon Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) modules for mobile telephone and hand-held appliances. These high-quality displays include the MF128128B15-BFU (1.5-inch); MF128160B18-BF3 (1.8-inch); and MF176220A19-BF3 (1.9-inch).



The devices are composed of a TFT-LCD panel, a driver circuit and a backlight unit. They can be powered from a single 2.5V to 3.3V power supply, and are available with high-speed RAM write and partial-screen display functions. Sleep and standby modes are also available for power saving.

Response times are as low as 25ms (MF176220A19-BF3), and 40ms (MF128128B15-BFU and MF128160B18-BF3).

The MF128128B15-BFU can display up to 65K colours with a panel resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. It features an 80-system 8-bit bus CPU Interface.



The MF128160B18-BF3 panel resolution is 128 x 160, with up to 262K colours. The module includes 68/80-system 8/9/16/18-bit bus CPU/RGB I/F selection.

The MF176220A19-BF3 has a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, can display up to 262K colours and features 80-system 8/9/16/18-bit bus CPU/RGB I/F selection. The device combines high contrast and high brightness with Gamma adjustment capabilities and low power consumption: the backlight requires 45mA current, with 240mW power consumption.
