Two new series of tantalum chip capacitors from Vishay Intertechnology provide high reliability for demanding applications such as avionics, aerospace and military. The T83 and T95 families offer a choice of moulded or conformal-coated cases, can withstand high ripple currents and are available in standard- or low-ESR versions. ![]() With values from 0.1µF to 330µF (T83) and 0.1µF to 680µF (T95), and a choice of ±10% or ±20% tolerance, the new series can optionally be supplied surge current tested to MIL-PRF-55365. T83 devices are available in five casing sizes A through E, (EIA535BAAC dimensions). Rated for operation from -55°C to +125°C, both the T83 and T95 series provide a choice of pure tin, SnPb, or gold-plated terminations, allowing their use in both RoHS-compliant and RoHS-exempt environments. They are supplied in standard tape-and-reel packaging, suitable for high-speed automated pick and place operations. ![]() R Case Size T95 Capacitor Customers can choose between a range of DC voltage ratings up to 50V. ESR values range from 10Ù to 0.045Ù for low-ESR versions, all measured at 100kHz. Low ESR, in combination with good power dissipation, confer the components’ ability to handle high levels of AC ripple current. Features
