Low-Profile Inductors Resist Harsh Environments 
Suitable for automotive applications

The IHLM-2525CZ-01 series of moulded high-current inductors from Vishay Intertechnology offers the industry’s lowest profile devices for their package footprint. The devices also feature an industry-leading low DCR/µH ratio.

The devices are part of the company’s range of high-performing, space- and power-saving inductor solutions for Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) and DC-to-DC converter applications. Supplied in a package measuring 6.47mm x 6.86mm x 3.0mm, the devices’ moulded construction confers high dielectric withstanding voltage, providing better protection against electrical shock. They are available in values from 0.1µH to 10µH.



Resistant to moisture, salt and chemicals, the inductors perform reliably in automotive applications and other extreme environments. In addition, designers will find them useful in mobile communications devices, notebook and desktop computers, and servers; and in fixed telecom power supplies, including Point of Load (PoL) and distributed power systems.

The series is specified for saturation currents ranging from 7A to 60A and for typical DCR values ranging from 1.5mΩ to 102mΩ. The devices are designed to handle high transient current spikes without saturation.

With a 100% lead (Pb)-free composite construction, buzz noise due to magnetostriction is reduced to ultra-low levels. The flame-retardant encapsulant (UL 94 V-0) provides resistance to corrosion and moisture, along with a high dielectric rating. The devices are specified for an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and are highly resistant to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
