The VO1263AB/AAC photovoltaic MOSFET driver solid-state relay (SSR) from Vishay Intertechnology offers the highest open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current performance available for this device type. The higher open-circuit voltage allows the user to choose a wider range of low-voltage MOSFETs, while the higher short-circuit current decreases the time required to charge a MOSFET’s gate. The VO1263 can be used in a wide range of products where isolated power supplies are required. The VO1263AB/AAC consists of two LEDs optically coupled to two photodiode arrays in a single SMD-8 or DIP-8 package. The photodiode array provides a floating source with adequate voltage and current to directly drive a wide range of low-voltage MOSFETs. ![]() With its open-circuit voltage of up to 14.6V and short-circuit current of 42µA, the VO1263 is suitable for use in circuits designed to drive both AC and DC loads in isolated switching, MOSFET driver and data acquisition applications. Optical coupling provides a high isolation voltage of 5,300VRMS, and the device is logic-compatible on the input side. The solid-state design of the VO1263 delivers superior reliability compared to electromechanical alternatives. It has received a variety of safety and reliability approvals, including UL1577, File E52744 System Code H or J, Double Protection; DIN EN 60747-5-2 (VDE0884); and CUL - File E52744, equivalent to CSA bulletin 5A. The VO1263 is a lead (Pb)-free and RoHS-compliant component. It is designed for use over the -40°C to +100°C temperature range. Features
