Range includes AC/DC power supplies and triple output adapters

Featuring medical safety approvals to EN-60601-1, high efficiency AC/DC power supplies and single and triple output external power adapters in the Astec/Artesyn family suit ‘non-patient-critical’ systems, imaging applications and medical instrumentation.

The Astec/Artesyn family of medical AC/DC power supplies is ideal for use in a wide range of medical electronics equipment requiring safety approval for non-patient-contact applications. Offering power ratings of up to 4860W, all of the supplies are based on high efficiency switch-mode designs and feature full medical safety approval to EN-60601-1/IEC601-1.



For example, the TLP150 and NLP250 series of open-frame power supplies offer low leakage current operation in line with the requirements of medical applications.

Suitable for low profile and space constrained applications, the TLP150 and NLP250 medical series offer up to 150W and 250W of output power, respectively. The supplies are available in 12V and 24V output options and have respective form factors of just 5.0in x 3.0in x 1.25in (127mm x 76mm x 32mm) and 4.0in x 7.0in x 1.5in (102mm x 178mm x 38mm) making them suitable for 1U high applications.

In each case the main output channel is compatible with systems that implement distributed power and point-of-load architectures. These supplies also suit applications requiring the powering of electromechanical devices such as relays, motors and pumps. Auxiliary output options are available for those systems that require ‘standby’ operation.

External Power Adapters
Also available through Arrow are the Astec/Artesyn family of medically approved external power adapters. These parts are designed to provide the high levels of performance and reliability demanded by portable medical equipment that is expected to offer ‘24/7’ operation.

In addition to single output 30W (5V output) and 60W (output options of 12V, 15V, 24V or 48V) versions, the range also features some of the industry’s first medically qualified, triple output external AC/DC adapters.

Featuring a 50W power rating, the DPT50-M series is available with triple output options of +3.3V, +5V, -12V; +5V, +12V, -12V; +5V, +15V, -15V; and +5V, +24V, +12V.

All Astec and Artesyn AC/DC power supplies, including the adapter family, offer remote sense on the main output, to automatically compensate for potential voltage drop between power supply and load.
