High Efficiency External AC/DC Adaptors

Emerson Network Power's range of external AC/DC adaptors provides flexible, pre-approved power solutions for a wide variety of portable and desktop applications. The latest products include high efficiency 3W, 50W, 78W and 100W adaptors that comply with Energy Star energy requirements as well as an Energy Star-compliant family of products featuring USB DC output connectors.

Offering respective power ratings of 50W, 78W and 100W, the Emerson Network Power Astec AD50, AD80 and AD100 high efficiency external desktop power supplies produce fully regulated outputs and have wide (90VAC - 264VAC) voltage inputs that allow them to be used anywhere in the world. Respective output voltages are 12V, 24V and 48V.


AD50 Series

The company's DHC3 series of 3W high efficiency wall mount adaptors also feature a wide voltage input (100VAC - 245VAC) while offering a regulated 5V output via a Mini or a Micro USB 2.0 connector that will suit a wide range of portable equipment.

All of the new adaptors are designed to deliver high efficiency operation. The AD50, AD80 and AD100 models comply with the One Watt Input Energy Star requirements, while the DCH3 series is compliant with the Energy Star Efficiency Level IV standard.


AD80 Series

Continuous output current rating for the AD50 is 4.16A, while the AD80 is rated at 3.25A. The AD100 100W adaptor offers a continuous output current of 2.08A. Products in the DCH3 series are rated to a maximum load of 0.55A.

All of the new adaptors feature an integral CISPR 22 Class B EMI filter and high levels of built in protection. The AD series incorporates protection against overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature conditions, while models in the DCH3 series offer overload and short circuit protection.

Depending on the model chosen, the Astec AD50 adaptors can be supplied with a variety of AC input receptacles including 3-pin (type C6) and 2-pin (type C8) variants. A choice of three DCH3 adaptors is available, each with a different input plug to suit various geographical requirements.

All of the new adaptors comply with relevant global safety standards and offer high demonstrated MTBF performance. The AD50 series adaptors are also available with medical safety approvals for non-patient contact and non-critical low power medical, dental and laboratory applications.
