| Electronic
interface refers to the computer-to-computer transmission
of business documents in a standard or customized format.
In essence, it enables the exchange of business information
electronically for greater speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
The process involves a set of source information elements
that are mapped into a common format, transmitted to
an "electronic mailbox," and received by a
designated addressee. To support an electronic interface
Arrow offers three different solutions EDI, e-Lite and
e-Businesscenter, described below.
EDI
Arrow has led the industry in establishing EDI-based
connections with both customers and suppliers in order
to provide greater speed in the exchange of production
forecasts, purchase orders (and acknowledgments), invoices,
and other standard business documents.
EDI provides savings to you in the form of document
transmission costs, improved transaction accuracy, and
reductions in transaction cycle times. Maybe the greatest
benefit is in the establishment of an electronic platform
for all trading activities. Today Arrow supports
a wide variety of EDI version and messages types. Please
contact your local sales contact to more information.
e-lite
Companies that have not the capability to comply with
the requirements of EDI but still want to draw the benefits
from using a Computer-to-computer system can use e-Lite.
e-lite is a system where the customer send in a data
file to Arrows EDI converter by mail. The file is then
loaded into Arrows application system as a normal EDI
message. Please click on the link to the right for more
information.
e-Businesscenter

in real-time. Information regarding backlog, forecasts
and dispatch advice can be view on the site. The information
